“The eye is the lamp of the body”

I’ve heard the Savior say

It used to be my eyes were full of me

But Jesus took that away

Now I’ve got the Son in my eyes

I see Him in Glory at the Father’s side

I’ve lost my desires, I’m stripped of my pride

I’ve got the Son in my eyes

Father I just want to thank You

For placing Your Spirit in me

And I testify now that the Son’s in my eyes

You’ve made me able to see

I’ve got the Son in my eyes

I’ve got to show the world that I’ve been bought for a price

I’ll no longer hide His life in me behind a disguise

I’ve got the Son in my eyes

My vision’s transcending the world and its lies

It’s funny how clearly you can see when you die
